Animation Final Project Treatment

My final project will be set to a cut version of Justin Timberlake’s song “Lovestoned/I Think That She Knows.” It will be dine in front of a green screen and involve one dancer (most likely a girl) who will be rotoscoped. I chose this song because it’s catchy and makes you want to dance. The strings in the song remind me of a time warp, and I want to incorporate filters on the background images to warp them in accordance to the song progression. As the song starts to change tempo, the rotoscoped dancer will turn into a silhouette against the background. Then similar to the in-class exercise we did with Kelly and the green screen, I will duplicate the dancer within the frame and have three silhouettes dancing side by side. Then, the silhouette will become a rotoscoped figure again until the end, where I have a close up on the still dancer’s head and I pan left to black.

Schedule:

November 1st- Have backgrounds made and put in After Effects.

November 7th- Have dancer filmed and star editing footage

November 14th- Begin rotoscoping

November 22nd- finishing rotoscoping and adding effects

November 28th- Final adjustments and hand in
